Zune doesn't sync with WMP or WMC? WTH?

I can’t believe that Zune doesn’t support synchronizing with Windows Media Center. I’m absolutely shocked. I’m at a total loss as to what to do. I was figuring this was a sure-fire way to bring our TV shows in the car (for my passenger).

Windows Media Player

1.    Open Windows Media Player. Connect the Zune to your computer using the included USB cable.

2.    Click the "Sync" button at the top right. Windows Media Player will sync with the Zune.

3.    Drag and drop the movies you want on the Zune into the "List" section directly below the "Sync" button.

4.    Click the "Start Sync" button. Any incompatible movies you add will be converted before being transferred to the device.
