What's your favorite color?

This is a thread everyone should be able to reply to...

Mine is blue. A nice dark shade of blue, probably something like the blue in the "THE STRAIGHT DOPE" banner across the top of the screen, maybe a little lighter though. I also like sky blue. It's peaceful.

And I don't want this thread to fall like a rock just like all my other threads!

Plaid. Any kind of plaid.

I am Canadian, & we consider plaid a colour (we also know how to spell things like colour)

I've always been a fan of silver. I think its because when I was in highschool and was a raver (circa 1994), everyone wore silver clothing and it always seemed pretty cool and surreal

What Pucette said, although I refer to the green as "hunter", as I was taught long ago (by a woman who knew the difference between beige, taupe, and shell). A little color sense in a single man can be a dangerous thing, though. I have to be careful, or my whole house would end up hunter and burgundy! Hopefully, in a few years my daughter will be old enough to take the reins of esoterica away from my incompetent hands.

brown and red and brownish-red
I was so relieved when I saw that somebody else likes brown. Usually people look at me funny when I say I like brown. Like maybe they think I'm on some kind of drugs or maybe they just think I learned my colors wrong and what I think is brown is really yellow or purple or something like that. It makes me sad and confused. Ok, so it just makes me sad. I'm always confused.
And I talk too much. I'll stop now before I put my foot deep into the dark recesses of my idiotic mouth.

By the way, I know that what I just said goes well beyond what was called for to answer the question and probably makes no sense. I just for the life of me can't stop my fingers from typing. It's just so much fun.

It's a tie between red and royal blue. My least favorite color is that icky brown-green mix I like to call "puke green".

Don't go rolling your eyes at Redukter! The board rules mandate that someone make the obvious Python reference when you give them an opening like that! 'Struth! Look it up.

Frankly, it's embarassing that three and a half hours went by before someone provided the correct response. Let's try to pay more attention people!

Oh, and red. Not too bright, not too dark. Halfway between Ferrari Red and Burgundy.

It's far and away the sexiest color. The beautiful browns of a woman's (or man's) hair and skin, from dark umbers to light beiges. From the golden hues of a bronze tan to the subtle creamy shell within the tanline. The gorgeous dark brown that defines the supple curves of an African princess. The earth under our feet. Rich shades of sumptuous wood. The underlying tone for autumn's explosion of color.

Whew. Brown. Think about it.

Blue, all shades but especially turquoise. Also Aqua Green and teal. And White was my favourite when I was 5, then it was purple then I finally settled on blue. I do still like white and silver a lot though.

I think pink is awfully overrated though.

Similarly to Libertarian: I like people colours.
