Michael Bessigano, a sick, perverted, freak of nature; stole, raped and killed a chicken in a Hotel Room last May and now stands trial for his crimes. According to The Times of Indiana, this pile of crap dropped his insanity plea and will now face a bench trial (sans jury). Keep in mind, our freak-of-the-week did a 2-year stint for the same crime against a Rottweiler back in 1992 and attempted it again in 1994 with a German Shepard. It’s still inter-species, but at least back then he kept it within his own zoological class. According to my calculations, next come amphibians, followed by reptiles and ending with fish.[sub] I can only hope he picks a hammerhead shark if he makes it down that far[/sub]
According to a blurb in my local paper as well as another story from the Indiana Times, Mr. Sick-As-All-Hell, faces up to 10 1/2 years behind bars.
Well that begs the question; Does our criminal justice system go to easy on rapists of human beings or are they being to strict on someone who’s quite a bit more violent than Frank Perdue, with the end result being the same: dead poultry.
The average prison time served for intra-species rapists is 13.2 years nationally. That’s according to John Greiner of the Capitol Bureau in Oklahoma. Sorry, don’t have time to find a better cite.
IMO, Bessigano deserves every day of those 10 ½ years he faces. But, when I compare it to the prison terms of men who commit violence against women, it comes off sounding a little harsh. I guess I just don’t put the life of a bird up there with the life of a human being. If rapist spent 30 or 40 years behind bars, it would be more palatable to me.
Probably the reason why his sentence will be so long is because the chicken did die, but they never recovered the chicken to do forensics tests on it. A coworker saw him at the courthouse, and he had two guards and ankle shackles. Presumably it creeped her out.
He was just tring to tenderize the chicken meat in some white cream sauce. I think its sick to have sex with a chicken. Does anyone have a video of it? I will pay cash.

But your reactions are so sickeningly over the top, especially if you eat any sort of meat.
The chickens in your McBurger go through the same amount of torture and eventual murder, but because its mass-murder, sanitized, institutional you don’t even blink.
I may not agree with what the guy did, but 10 and 1/2 years is punitive and malicious because it offends fragile mores and not on the basis of any sort of justice.
There are vegans and PETA members who think any sort of meat eater deserves the same sort of treatment yet they are scoffed at. A guy screws a chicken and its on par with the sexual violation of a human woman. Sick.
I’d personally much rather hear of someone raping a chicken or dog than another human being. Call it what you will, I doubt it impacts the animal much in any way we will ever know enough of to compare to a human’s experience. -A dog might not be in the mood and strategically bite the guy, and even if the animal ends up dead, it’s just not that big a deal: dog pounds kill thousands of dogs every week, and as noted tens of thousands of chickens get killed every day.

Try to keep the overall picture in perspective: yes, it’s a gross act, it’s a bummer if it was your chicken, but there’s guys out there raping women/children - I’d rather save the ten-year sentences for them.

It would seem that he not only came up short in the brains department, but in other areas as well.
Moving on…Ten years (plus some mental rehab) seems about right. However, this brings to mind the recent thread about prison rape…How are the other guys inside going to react when they find out what his crime was?
Charging the tax payer about $30,000 a year * 10.5 years to cage a chicken “lover” is the real crime here. That judge cost us too much money just to express some outrage. The same money would keep a whole villages of children in the 3rd world from starving to death. Those kids may dies horrible, lingering deaths, but at least our chickens can sleep better tonight. I hate this stuff.

To clarify: 10 1/2 years for a chicken rapist, even in one that resulted in poultricide, is harsh when compared to the average sentence of men who commit rape against women.
FTR: Colonel Bessigano is a sick man. The fact that he may spend the next decade behind bars, at whatever the cost StPaul or Sally Struthers have a problem with, is really no concern of mine. All I’m saying is; if it’s 10 1/2 for a “farm-freak” it should be at least 40 for a “conventional” rapist.
The trivial nature of the story is what makes it IMHO. On top oof the fact it’s sick to the point of being humorous. As noted by several posters. What gets me is:

He’s worked his way down from furry to feathered animals…with scaly creatures probably coming next. Lucky for most species of invertabrates that their orifices are even smaller that those of a chicken.
Don’t most psychopaths work their way up? (ala Tim McVeigh killing animals prior to humans). This freak comes off as a crack or heroin addict who quits his habit and turns to smoking pot.
