LEXX has the best music

I can't think of a tv show that has better music than Lexx. Anyone else think that it's great?

Yeah some of it was pretty good. I especially liked that song Kai and the other 'goth types' sang when they went into battle. I think it was also on the starting credits for a season.

Yo. Way Great. Rah.

It's addictive, too. For a while I was taping it to watch at an
hour when it was convenient. I'd start to put the tape in and
my wife would yell "wait! let me out of the room! I don't
want that song stuck in my head for another week!"

Yes, the song was great.

I have a cd of their musical episode(yes, they did one before Buffy did one). It's also very cool.

The episode was called Brigadoom and it was in the second season. It recapped Kai's backstory. The real actors sang their parts.

"the song" ? which song?

And yes, Brigadoom was great. There is at least one other singing episode. It's when they go back to Brunis 2 or whatever (in Tales from a Parallel Universe) and go into the "Burst of Life" thing in the library.

I have season 1 on vhs and season 2 on DVD. I'm getting season 3 on DVD for Xmas. Woohoo!

I also want the soundtrack cd: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...l/-/B000056PGR

I think I have that wav somewhere.

I can't explain my Lexxadiction to many folk. I was foolish. I started off in five minute bursts – kept thinking Bah! this'll never hook me. Look, ten minutes have gone by and it is no problem at all for me to turn it off. Then it was fifteen minutes... twenty. Next thing you know I am up to entire episodes a night. Then I did a dumb thing. I asked around some seedy message board for a Lexxplanation. I got so low that I was clinging to consciousness to make it to two o'clock to ride that wonderful Lexx wave, get my Tweedle fix, sip some Chai tea and marvel at the epicness of it all. I almost didn't Xevive. But fortunately, a friend got me into a program, a VCR program. Now I can make it through the night.

The music fits the show perfectly.

Just the other night they had the episode where Kai is broken and they have to fix him. And all the control stuff is "between his legs" heh heh.

I wonder if the writers would just sit around saying "ok, what new sexual elements can we pack into this episode?"

I love it.

You mean they do other things as well?

Seriously, I loved Lexx, but the rest of my family thought it was the worst show ever. And "that song" is a great one.

For reference, here is "the song"

[Brunnen-G Chant]

(here is the ACTUAL translation by Marty Simon)

VAIYO A-O
(Fighters fight the fight)
A HOME VA-YA-RAY
(For their home and their heart)
VAIYO A-RAH
(We fighters will win or die)
JERHUME BRUNNEN-G
(Forever we are the Brunnen G)

"...I am of Russian decent, but truthfully the song was composed without any specific influence. The toughest part was composing a lyric based on a language no one had heard before and getting my singers to sing convincingly and with great passion....words which they did not understand! "
-The composer, Marty Simon.
