In Dallas, who woke up next to whom when they found out it was all a dream?

When it was finally revealed that JR had never been shot because it was all a dream, who woke up next to whom? I need to know for what will be a very goo pop-culture reference joke.

I am witty.

OK, jump back.

It wasn't when JR was shot.

Bobby Ewing had been killed at the end of the prior season. Then things got really weird in the show and the last shot of the season was Victoria Principal waking up and finding Bobby Ewing showering. He says, "Good Morning" and she gets this weird look on her face.

Bang, the entire season was a dream. Move on.

This is so embarassing.

Bobby's wife woke up to find him in the shower. This pretty much made all of season (6?) of Dallas Pam's dream. JR remained shot in both timelines, btw.

I'm not going to look it up or anything, but I'm pretty sure that Bobby's death was long after JR got shot.

Oh well, I don't remember a damned thing about the show, except for the catchy theme song, seeing as I was about four when this took place. However you have supplied me with enough information for my hilarious joke that is sure to bring laughter and joy to this guy I know.

Thank you.

Aww, you would not get it, but here you go:

Hello, it is me, the freaky fan who kept constantly bugging you on ICQ many moons ago. SO... Are you still alive? Were you ever alive? Has this all been the crazed fever dream of Fafnir who will soon wake up next to Victoria Principle thus wiping out the entire last season? I hope so, that would be cool.
I was writing to Christopher Mastrangelo, creator of what I believe to be the one of the funniest comics (not just web-comic mind you) ever. Fluble. I honestly hold it in the same esteem as Bloom County, Calvin and Hobbes, and The Far Side. I expect great things from this boy, either that or a crippling heroin addiction and messy death in a pool of his own filth. Whichever comes first.

Nobody, outside of Patrick Duffy and Larry Hagman, knew that Duffy was coming back when that was shot. When Duffy filmed his scene, the crew and director actually thought it was a soap commercial. They filmed it that way. It was a whole different set.

On the set of Dallas, when Pam opened the door, her new husband, Mark Graison, was on the floor dead.

I actually give Dallas a lot of credit for this. They took the heat and now whenever somebody big leaves a show, they are afraid to kill them off. The show was beginning to decline anyway. Evil twins, not really dying-those plots are worse than a dream.

And for what it's worth, the end to that last episode was left ambigious. Did he shoot himself, or did he shoot at the mirror that was showing him the demon?

Oh wait! It was this Onion news-brief that I was thinking of.

Quote:
VOLUME 35 ISSUE 17 — 5 MAY 1999
Universe Ends As God Wakes Up Next To Suzanne Pleshette
CHICAGO—The 15-billion-year-old universe came to a surprise-twist end Friday, when God woke up next to actress Suzanne Pleshette. "What a crazy dream I just had," God said to Pleshette at the conclusion of the popular, long-running universe. "I was the Creator of all things, I had this crazy Son who was always getting arrested and wouldn't get a haircut, and My children were always hurting and killing each other in My name." Pleshette reassured God that He had imagined the whole thing and urged the beleaguered, well- intentioned deity to go back to sleep.
To what is this a reference?

The series finale of Newhart ended this way. They reconstructed the bedroom set of Bob Newhart's previous show, brought in the actress who played his wife on that show, and pretty much revealed that the entire run of Newhart was a dream.

I told you it was Bob Newhart.

Now, how does this all fit together?

We have Bob Newhart and J.R. Ewing.

anybody remember the last episode of
Twin Peaks where Bob suposingly
convence Cooper to kill himself ?
he did't do it,he came back in teh Red Room

Did he shoot himself, or did he shoot at the mirror that was showing him the demon?

J.R. "Bob" Dobbs has the answer.

Through the darkness of future past,
The Magician longs to see
One chants out between two worlds:

"Hi, Bob! Walk With Me."

Would it be helpful to mention St. Elsewhere at this time?

This was parodied in "Family Guy", specifically episode "Da Boom". Basically the same scene was used to explain away the ridiculous episode that had preceded it. It even featured the same actors and everything. Funny stuff.

Why does it matter if it's a dream
anyway? They're all fictional shows
in reality they're all dreams, just
fictional dreams in the writers and
producers heads.
