The last Gulf War was measured in weeks. I’ve seen many pundits claim that this will be quick and dirty (my phrasing). Others have recently begun to cast doubt on that, now that the USA is committed. Somewhat in the spirit of the “When Will the War Start?” thread, I’d like to get opinions from folks on when you believe the war will end? In a few days, a few weeks, months, or years?
Secondly, if you could state your general position on the war:

- On the Fence
Finally, is your position on the war affected by your perception of the length, e.g., are you in favor of this war because you think we can get Saddam Hussein out of power quickly with a minimum loss of life? Are you against it because you think it will be long and bloody?
My thoughts:
A) War will last 3 months or longer.
B) Against
C) Not because of the time/cost (in lives) so much as the lack of proper diplomacy and gathering of world consenus. I could have been for this if the UN inspections teams had been allowed to complete their task or if the UN inspectors had been ousted by Hussein, not Bush.
