Bay Area foodie Dopers - Oyster & sausage feast at Kermit Lynch in Berkeley

Hey, BADs, if you’re into country French cooking and French wine, there’ll be a food event at Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant in Berkeley on 4/19 starting at 11:00 a.m… It’s called “Oyster Bliss,” and the fine cooking crew from Chez Panisse will be on hand to shuck hundreds of Hog Island oysters, grill homemade Bordeaux sausages, and serve it all up with Acme baguettes and salad. Kermit Lynch wine and pastries will be on hand, too.

These are fun events, not massive out-of-control food fairs, so swing by if you’re interested. Parking, as you might expect, sucks so Mr. Pug and I always arrive at 11:00 a.m.

Wish I could be there, even if I can’t eat the saugage until Easter it sounds as if there will be plenty of other tasty treats! Eat a pastry for the frustrated baker here! And a French baguette too.(Drool!)
