Yeah, I was kinda wondering about that. The way I figure it, the original poster may have asked for it to be shut down. Oh well, it was whorin’ good fun while it lasted.

Oh, I also wanted to mention that I can’t see any user names anymore without putting “whore” in them. ::must resist urge to put whore in NoClueBoy’s name…

I’m sure you’ve noticed that pointless pit threads don’t live very long. Especially ones that mainly feature people spouting words like “whore” like a 7th grader.
It was the second thread in two days to digress in the same way. Once was enough.

Ahh… See, I was wondering if something else was going on. I have a guess at which it might be. (the noisy apts? I got bored of that one…)
As for a pointless Pit thread lasting or not, may I again point to the cheese? That was pointless. Not particulaly funny. Yet it got the honor of Threadspotting.
I think Haj nailed the answer for me, though.
The reason it was the second thread to digress that way was because the first thread (started by Ladyrose) was closed with no comment from the moderator who closed it. If the moderator had included a comment explaining why (didn’t like it becoming a fun whore/user name fest?), maybe the second thread would not have digressed that way because we would have gotten the message not to do that.
Would it have been okay to have a whore/user name fest in the MPSIMS forum? Or do the moderators consider it inappropriate?

And since nobody is going to stick up for the Aubrey being used as a bad word, I would like to.
Not anything to do with the poster, but the name it’s self.
My youngest daughters name is Aubreigh Renee. Chosen because it means elven ruler queen. She is adorable and impishly petite. The name fits.
I know this arguement isn’t going to hold much water after the nightmare that has been happening lately. But it does kind of make me cringe even though I know what other posters are trying to say.

Actually the other thread to develop whorosis of the liver was Ladyrose’s departure thread.
I will have to admit it did seem a mite silly, though I could see people were having fun.
However, No Clue Boy, if you are truly confused on the difference beween whores and cheese, I predict a bright future for you scripting sequels to American Pie.

Nothing wrong with a little juvenile laughfest now and again, if you ask me. The other day, my husband and I found ourselves in paroxysms of laughter over the word “booties.” And booties isn’t even a funny word!
I’m glad to see it got closed. I would have never been able to choose between Whore in Use and Already in Whore or maybe even Atomic Whore Racing.
