Great, now you’ve opened the gates for a batch of threads like “Fucking Cafe Society sarcasm threads” and “Fucking Cafe Society slightly humorous but not really threads”.
Here’s a new concept in regards to message boards; if you don’t like a topic, ignore it! If everyone else agrees with you, the topic will quickly get buried and you won’t ever have to deal with it again. Not that you ever had to deal with it in the first place. People bitching about threads they don’t like are like people bitching about C-Span on cable. If you don’t like it, don’t look! Simple! Instead, it’s always WAAAAAH with some people.
Sage though this advice is, it is strangely hard to follow yet easy to give.
First time I’ve complained about a thread since I’ve been here.
Here’s a Pro-Tip: If you don’t like people bitching about an imbecilic thread you made, you don’t have to read it. Nobody’s asking for your fucking approval. That’s what the Pit is for.

Since this is the Pit, and you’ve already told me to FOAD, then insinuated that I’m a knee-biting douchebag…let me say this:
I hope you have a good day, and that the people that you care about are safe and happy, and that you have no cause to feel anxious today. Because after all, it’s a message board, and you know nothing about me, and I know nothing about you, and after all, we’re all human beings sharing space on this planet. I don’t want to waste a lot of my time hating things that are trivial. I do complain sometimes, it’s true. But you need to lighten up. Or maybe you need to start more threads complaining about all the things in Cafe Society that you, personally, do not feel are worthy of a response. Your choice.
I know this is the pit, but that was really fucking harsh.

The biggest thing I have to complain about, in fact, are people making message board topics about movies featuring cats that brush their teeth with poop, but don’t have any such thing in them, This is a board for fighting ignorance, after all, not propagating it.
So, if you don’t like my complaining about it, someone gave me some wonderful advice you may find useful:

Actually, movies in which characters take a dump is a far from uninteresting topic, it has way more going for it than another thread there, Movies in which characters brush their teeth.
Taking a dump and pissing being depicted on screen were strictly taboo in Hollywoodland for ages. The first movie that I recall a woman being shown taking a piss was the original Fun With Dick and Jane in 1977, where Jane Fonda perched on the throne, panties round her knees, talking to George Segal, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, which of course it is. But at the time it was an astonishing scene.
But I digress. This is Café Society stuff. I just wanted to explain why I think this is an undeserved pitting (or at least targeted on the wrong thread.)

It looked like a perfectly genuine thread topic to me. Somewhat scatological, of course, but i saw no indication that it was intended as a parody, or that the OP was merely looking for joke responses.
I sort of agree with the OP. For me it’s song threads though.
