an amusing story from the Old Testament
from 2 Kings, chapter 2, verse 23-24
"Then he (Elisha) went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, "Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!" "So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths."

Are you back again? *sigh*
This has been discussed numerous times on these boards. Do a search of "elisha" and/or "bears." Zev Steinhardt |

[hijack] Ah, but you should. It's considered courteous to see what's been discussed before. Oh, and we should call it the "Hebrew Bible." "Old Testament" is a Christian term, and not everyone here is Christian. [/hijack]
That story should be used more often to teach young-uns about respecting their elders. "Don't you be disrespecting me, or female bears will rip ya apart!" Female bears, the bogeyman - what's the difference? WRS
