"56. Mylene Farmer - Désenchantée"

As I did this for the other thread, might as well do it here. The literal translation of "désenchantée" is disenchanted. If I weren't so damned lazy I would go find a better word for it, but I am so I'm not (yeah . . . ).

It's a great song, one of my Top 20 80's songs. The Tubes were kinda underappreciated, so you're probably the only one that got that one.

What did I miss?!?!?!

Shoot! I've just now come across this 80s music thread by accident! I'm a DJ at a college radio station and my show is "The Spandex Years" - all 80s music! In fact, I'm doing a Laurie Anderson special this Wednesday. Would anyone like to make a requst?

Patty

And just how many lesbian heroes (heroines?) do you have in your life right now?

Just one, and you are it. I deliberately left the 'hero' in the unisex (though some would say masculine, I find that outdated) form because I don't know if you are butch or fem.

Oh, and Fee is back with the Tubes and they tour now - they totally kick ass, I can't recommend them highly enough. I also saw Fee had some solo stuff on mp3.com

OK, enough fan grovelling. Back to the lesbian hero[ine] worship.

Sorry, don't mind me.

I thought this was a music thread.

I return you now to your early MTV lives.

The Tubes are playing a free show at the taste of Minnesota today. I told my boss I needed to cut out early to see 'em. I saw Modern English last night and Frankie Goes to Hollywood the previous night. Gotta love free shows, especially bands that you wouldn't really pay to see now, but that you go to and enjoy oneself

Since you asked, fem in dress and attitude in general, but butch if I get pushed around by people.

Rodd Hill, when I get home I'll find some more, including some Kid Creole and the Coconuts.

Thanks everyone for reading!
