Fender bender.

Yesterday, I was travelling north on a two lane road with parking on both sides.

I was in the left lane.

A car started moving out of a spot all the way in the right parking lane, and a women driving in the right travel lane swerved across the center line. I honked, and moved over as far as I could, but there was no avoiding it.

Fender bender!! It actually bent my tire well.

Anyway, she called the cops, he came and took out statements. I asked the cop, “did she tell you the same thing I told you?” And he said “yes”.

So, I got home about 10 minutes later, called my insurance company. They told me to call HER insurance company. She had already called them and basically told them it was her fault (except for the guy pulling out).

So, from now on, it’s just the hassle of getting it fixed. I guess you shouldn’t have to be surprised when a person does the right thing, but it’s nice to see anyway.

I got rear-ended about 18 years ago, 10 days after I got my license. Just rear-ended while I was waiting to turn. That lady fought, sued(!?), acted a fool. I guess I was expecting something similar. If this lady had said, “he came into my lane and hit me” there’s probably nothing I could have done except gone to court or let the insurance companies figure it out.

We were both uninjured.

Glad the trunk was not damaged.

I only got a little scratch on my muffin.

Whew! I’m so relieved. From the title, I thought you had damaged your guitar.

Ba-dum-bump!

Quit doing that!!! People are looking at me real strangely now.
