There have been a lot of snide remarks lately from certain dopers about how they’re not going to renew their membership. I’m not going to name names. You know who you are.
Usually it’s because they’re taking the high ground, since the mods and the administration of this board “can’t be trusted” (whatever that means), so they’re going to show them by not dropping $5. They simply must mention it in every thread about the “recent unpleasantness” (to which they’re drawn like flies to a big steaming pile of dogshit). There’s even a poster who put it in his/her sig.
Whatever. I just wanted to make you all aware of the fact that I don’t give a fuck that you’re leaving, just like I didn’t give a fuck when all those “I refuse to pay I’m leaving” threads popped up about this time last year. And that’s another thing. A preemptive “fuck you” to all those who are going to start their own special going away thread in MPSIMS (if someone wants to start a generic one that everyone can use, I’m cool with that, I grant you my permission ;)). Of course, there’s also going to be the “Are you going to renew?” thread in IMHO, but I guess that can’t be helped.
Fuck politics. Republican or not, I’m giving you a huge hug when I see you at the dopefest this summer, Sil. (with your wife’s permission, of course. )
Right on Ashtar , I just joined. Have been researching what I can about the “incident” and from what I can gather, it was handled in a fair,compassionate manner. I still think @$15.00 US, it’s still a bargain. If this board is to think of itself as a community (family) as it were and it seems many members do think this way then its difficult to argue against TubaDiva’s sityation. She did wrong, her transgression was made as public as was prudent, she is obviousyl embarassed and chastised and was generally accepted back into the family. Seems to me, just as you would, a member of your family.
