Ask the Swedish chick

I am not completely full of myself, I was actually asked to do this thread… But since it might help up my post count I’m not complaining.
Ask away folks. Let me know if I can shoot from the hip or if you prefer a more researched answer.

Var kan jag finna en kot tjej för att knulla hela natten?

Wait, did I just say that? I meant “När kommer du ifrån Sverige?”

And I even screw the legitimate question up. Var kommer du ifrån Sverige?

OK: Is everyone there blonde? Do you have any ethnic diversity? Is it dark 6 months out of the year?
Hip-shooting acceptable.

Could This Guy get some action over there? I mean, like with those hot lil’ doublemint twins?

Is it true you guys are always a month behind all the ‘fads’?

(ducks and runs)

Mr. C, those hot doublemint twins were from Louisville, Kentucky, not SWEDEN, for heaven’s sake. Their names are Tricia and Cyb Barnstable and one of them is married to Somebody Rich (a doctor, I think) and they have a big Derby party every year.

Check here; scroll down a bit.

You’re mighty lusty these days.

Are you really Swedish?
Do you like Swedish Fish?
How old are you?
How much do you weigh?
Do you find men offensive?
Do you drink Swiss Miss hot chocolate or do you eat it straight from the box?
Do you like it with or without marshmallows?
Do you have big feet?
How tall are you in feet and inches?
Would you ever consider playing ice hockey?
Do you eat fish?
What kind?
Are they good?
Would you rather eat something else?
Do you think they are as nasty as I do?
Do you watch American TV?
Have you seen friends?
One of my favourite episodes is where Monica takes a job trying to make things out of “mochalate” which is a nasty foaming chocolate. Do you know what Phoebe says after she eats a mochalate cookie? That really made me crack up.
Do you believe in faeries?
Did you just clap?
What is your favourite movie from Sweden?
Are there any good television shows there?
How many hours a week do you watch of television?
Do you bathe regularly or are you like the stereotypical Frenchman?
Is there anything else that you would like us to know?

HUGS!
Sqrl

PS. I am so evil.

Dear Swedish Chick, (thanks for starting the thread, by the way!)

Do you accept my apology?

Sili

Dang, I thought it was “Ask the Swedish Chef”.

Well, while I’m here… Aren’t the taxes there just about the highest in the world (at least among democratic nations)? Do most people live in relatively equal economic circumstances, or are some “more equal” than others due to their government positions? Is it difficult to provide people with the incentive to work, or are there conditions under which the government provides benefits? (I’m not trying to characterize Sweden as communist, but I’m under the impression that it has a considerable socialist orientation to it.)

Hi Swedish Chick!

Do you shoot from only one hip or are you ambipelvidextrous?

td

Do you really eat pickled herring up there? And if so why?

First ones first.

Olentzero, you can probably find a horny gal anywhere in the world. If you want a Swedish horny gal, try a bar. I am from Lund in the south of Sweden.

Ellen, no, not everyone is a blonde, I’m not for instance. Maybe there are more blondes here than elsewhere, but not remarkably so. There are about 9 million people in Sweden, one million or so are immigrants, most from other Scandinavian countries. We have immigrants from all parts of the world, mostly southern Europe (Greece, ex-Yougoslavia etc.) eastern Europe (Poland, the Batic states) and quite a few from various African countries. In the northern parts of the country it is dark for quite some time, but not six months. I guess that the sun doesn’t rise at all for two weeks or so, and then there’s that long period where it stays really close to the horizon. On the other hand, in the summertime, the sun stays up 24 hrs for a week or so.

Mr. C. I don’t know how the double mint ladies would react, but I say come on over and we’ll find out!

Sqrl. Damn! Are you going to keep me up all night?
I am very Swedish. Why? If you’re referring to pickled herring, yes it’s fantastic, especially with a shot of spiced vodka. I am 26. I find men who are dumb enough to ask a woman how much she weighs very offensive. I don’t drink Swiss Miss (BTW, Swiss=from Switzerland), I drink O’Boy. I don’t really like marshmallows, they give me a toothache. I don’t have big feet, normal I guess. I’m five ft three. I can’t skate, so I won’t play hockey. I eat fish at least twice a week, salmon, cod, and whatever. I like it. I wouldn’t say that I’d rather have something else, but I don’t eat fish all the time. We get a lot of American shows over here, Friends is one of them. I haven’t seen the mochalate episode, so I can’t answer that one for you. Faeries? No, not really. I didn’t clap. My favorite Swedish movie is called “Fucking Åmål” (Åmål is a small town in the middle of Sweden, I think they called it “Show me love” in English). Good television? Well, yeah. Some. I watch maybe one or two shows per day. Swedes are superclean. We shower and that everyday and we have heard of a small thing called deodorant. Is there anything else you’d like to know?

Sili. Why of course!

mrblue92, yes our taxes are high compared to may other countries. But on the whole I think we’re alright. but don’t think that we are all equally rich (or equally poor)because of that. There are people who are poorer and there are people who are richer, not because of government interference. People in government don’t make a ton of money, it’s not corrupt in that way. And we do work, and we work hard. I do not know anyone in person who takes advantage of the system to the extent where they just sit back and do nothing and get paid for it.

xenophon41, I shoot from my right hip.

xizor Pickled herring is good.

Well, that’s it for now. Only hip shooters this time.

kellibelli you can run but you cannot hide!

  1. What’s the real story behind Swedish meatballs? Are they not really Swedish, much as French fries are not “French”?

  2. I hear prisons are really nice over there - true?

  3. Does everybody study English in school? I ask because you are yet another “furriner” who speaks beautiful English.

Thanks!

First, glad you accepted.

That’s my kind of girl! We’ve been doing this very thing for years (comes with the Russian heritage). Is Absolut your favorite Vodka? What other brands do you reccomend?

missbunny, any Swede considers meatballs to be the most Swedish thing there is. So do I. Maybe someone picked it up from somewhere a long time ago, but these days, we consider it authentic. We usually eat it with boiled potatoes, gravy and lingonberries. Good stuff.
Prisons are nice. Or nicer than any American prison I’ve ever heard about. The point is that prison should not be as much a punishment as a way of getting people straightened out. It seems to work, I’ll research this, it interests me.
We study English from age 10, and all our American and English television shows and movies are subtitled instead of dubbed. I’m probably a bit more eloquent than others, but I major in English and I have lived in North America for two and a half years.

sili, yeah I guess Absolut is the best there is. But the spiced vodka I’m talking about here is not Absolut. It’s called OP Anderssons. I can’t describe it, you have to try it to understand what I’m talking about.

Yours truly,
soda

soda, it’s off to the Liqueor Barn to look for OP! I have a feeling I know in general what you are talking about - we make this at home once in a while, it’s quite something going down!

I also like the Peppar Vodka from several makers, but it does not quite match the home made stuff.

Does Swedish culture include big family get togethers around the dinner table? Seems like a good thing to do during those cold days.(Of course there are other things to do…)

Which of course, is why they have such big families. :: Grin, Duck and hide behind kelli ::
So, Soda,
Do you speak Mockjapanese?
Do you bubble and froth when opened?
Do you taste sweet and quench thirst?

Why is it that the country that builds the safest cars in the world, also has the highest suicide rates?

I would try some Swedish here, but I’m afraid none of it is fit for publication
