You know, some nice low calorie lemonade and rum really works the same way. Tastes great and makes you feel all warm and happy
I have found that it is easier to list the things that don’t go well with rum, than try to list all the ones that do.
Infused rums from Saint-Martin sitting on my shelf: Guavaberry, Pineapple, Coconut…
That sounds really good. I usually stick to bourbon, but for some reason the thought of a fruity drink is making my mouth water right now.
The first one I made kind of as a slush. I get the Mexican cans of Guava and Mango necter anyways, so ai Had those on hand. I poured half a can of each into the blender, added two capfulls of coconut extract, 3 oz of plain ol’ Bicardi and 1 1/2 oz of 151, then a handfull of ice. Blended it til ice was mostly crushed but with some large-ish chunks.
Drank one tall glass of that real quick like, then nursed along the second for a while. The 151 adds a bit of a leg loosener to the mix, let me tell ya!
The second blenderfull of this idea wasn’t near as neatly done and I had quite some clean up to do this morning. Messy bartender bastard!
I must try this recipe. Some day when I don’t feel like whisky that is.
