My wife has been a long-time SDMB lurker, and in fact, she is the one that introduced me to the board. Even after I quickly fell in love and signed up, she continued to lurk. She’d talked about signing up, but never pulled the trigger.
So I made up my mind that a gift subscription would be part of her Christmas gift. I corresponded with the very helpful TubaDiva to find out how best to make that happen, got back a wonderful idea, and was all set to go.
Until this evening.
During another lurking session, my wife was so overwhelmed by the joy SDMB brought her that she could no longer help herself, and my hemming and hawing was no deterrent to her at this point. She’s in! And yes, this whole post is just my way of trying to claim credit for the idea even though she signed herself up.
Oh, and thanks, Asi! It all comes from the same account, so we’ll just pretend that you clicked the button that transferred the electrons from our bank account.
Because I’m a special snowflake and do things my own way. Well, that and I signed up for the 30-day trial back in July, but just got around to paying now.
Oh, and by all means, bring on the goats and any other barnyard animals… but skip the sheep. I’ve heard things about certain dopers and sheep.
Welcome Jakeline! Usually we welcome new Dopers with a huge chorus number, but unfortunately we’re having a dispute with Actor’s Equity at the moment so we’ll have to hum. Meanwhile fix yourself a Yoo-Hoo & Jim Beam, kick that old hound dog out of the way and come set up here on the porch with us!
