It is the first Thursday of the new year which means a new quarter and af resh slate for all the members of our SDMB poker clan. The past threads can be found:
Each Thursday night we gather at Pokertropolis for a very intense and important (although very low stakes…60 cents) poker game. We keep score of results using a not so complicated logarithmic scoring method that is kept in utter and complete secrecy by yours truly (ok not so secret, anybody who wants the spreadsheet need just ask).
The key is that…anybody is welcome to join us!
If you do plan to join us for the first time, make sure you get signed in and funded with Pokertroplois well before our Thursday 7pm Pcific time start.

I hate to hijack this thread, but I remember reading about the “Boom goes the dynamite” catchphrase and decided to finally look at the video myself, and stumbled upon this clip of the guy when he appeared on CBS’s The Early Show. The text confused me until I saw the video. What the hell are “Mario cards?” He’s clearly saying Mario Kart. Don’t any of you idiots over at CBS play video games? I guess you guys were too busy checking out the "TH"s on that Texas National Guard document to care. (Sorry folks, but I think that everyone gets to vent on a stupid subject at least once in their lifetime).
Apparently this week I got the customer support Allen who actually has the ability to list the tournament for us, instead of the customer support Allen who says the tech support people will look into it (and may or may not do something about it in the next 3 hours). All this is to say, “It’s up.”

Signed up, should be there on time. Need to run down to Lancaster to pick up some stuff, so I might be a touch late…but I’ll be there, and hopefully finishing out of the double digits.
Great – I may not be able to get you in tonight – you need to post here or AIM me (Aholibah16) with your account name in order to get you permission even to see the table. But if we can’t get it done tonight, we’ll be sure and get it set up for next week.
I’m out for next week, going to the in-laws in Arizona. Then again, I’ve been running like ass lately, so maybe the week off will do me good. Lets hope so.
Can’t say I didn’t get lucky a few hands to get there. For the most part my cards were crap, and I got some help when I played the ones I did. Never got a pocket pair bigger than 8 all night.
I don’t think I won a single week in the whole 4th Q.
In my defense, I would like to point out that I missed most of the first hour because I was watching the fabulous University of Illinois Fighting Illini beat the Michigan State University Spartans, and ended up short stacked when I finally could give the game the attention it deserved.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
And, if you have not seen the Capital One commercials lately, life has been tough for us pillagers lately.
