no comments really on the Daily Show - I think it’s always good

but Cobert - That guy, supposedly a midwest liberal public radio personality - is he for real? - he reminds me of some stand up comedian, whose name escapes me. And the interaction was SO rehearsed. They’re both clever men, and the bit was funny, but as to the radio show - what’sthe real deal?

MODS: Please fix the letters in the thread title to all uppercase. Thanks
(I have no idea why that happened)

That was David Cross. He’s awesome.

Nope - that’s David Cross as “Russ Leiber” - IMDB says he is uncredited. – Damn — must - type - faster.

DAMN! I **knew ** he looked familiar! The long curly hair threw me off, but the voice and mannerisms - dead give away
Thanks guys

John Hodgeman’s segment about the future of the country post-Greenspan was pretty good. I’ve been reading his book The Areas of My Expertise, and the segment contained some of the same unusual style that was in his book. I wonder if he wrote it. (He’s a funny-looking guy, which helps his style. When he was intereviewed by Stewart about his book in an earlier episode, it was just funny, the way this nerdy-looking man talks straight-faced about a extremely bizzare hobo rebellion in the 1930s.)

I didn’t see that episode yet, (I’m generally a week behind), but if it’s the same guy (assuming this is to become a recurring bit) as in the bit a week or 2 ago, I believe that’s David Cross.

In fact, now looking at the IMDB link he is indeed the one playing “Russ Lieber”, though I guess they haven’t updated it to include the 2006 CR appearances yet.

You and I both.

That bit had me cracking up, I was searching around on google for a little while before I figured out who it was. That interview was hilarious - I was hoping that “Dissenter’s Guide to Fighting Back - Politely” was a real book.
