My friend's just got their fantasy book published!

Honest-to-goodness authors of a new saga…

Heir of Autumn

Some of the Reader’s Comments:

“HEIR OF AUTUMN is a terrific and spellbinding work of high fantasy. There is enough political intrigue, battle scenes and romance to keep readers’ attention at an all time high. Told from the perspective of various characters, fans becomes so involved with the tale that they are unable to stop reading even for one moment because they want to see what happens next. The authors have an excellent sense of place that allows the audience to believe these locales actually exist.”

"I’m a pretty avid fantasy reader, and for some time now, I have been disenchanted with a lot of the new fantasies that have been released. NOT the case with this book. Heir of Autumn is un-putdown-able from the start, with characters that leap out of the pages and conflicts that seem impossible to fix until the very end, when the authors skillfully pull everything together into one dramatic finale. "

I went to college with one of the author’s (the second one graduated the year before I attended). Neat people that have been writing for awhile. I think they both have published stories in magazines, but this is their first book. I have heard that there are some quite steamy sex scenes in there too…Something most authors seem to always stop describing after “He took her into his arms.”

I haven’t read it yet because I’m waiting for them to mail me an autographed copy. But, for those who want a new fantasy novel, this sounds like a good one based on the reviews. Yea! Happy Dance for friends!

Excuse-em-moi. You can put those ’ wherever you think they work best.

Pretty cool! One of the professors at the college from which I graduated has also published a fantasy novel and has sent me a signed copy.

Very good. She’s elegible for SFWA membership, BTW. If she wants to join, have her contact me.

Great!

Congrats (aside to Sage Rat - I know it’s not and official word and I’m using it anyway) to the author and to you as a friend.

I’ll read it when the paperback edition is released. I can’t afford new hardcovers.

Fighting ignorance since 1979.

Cool for your friends though, Tomcat.

Really, really neat-o
(sorry SR)

A friend of mine published her first fantasy trilogy a couple of years ago, and unfortunately I didn’t like the books much at all. Her new series has begun recently too, and I don’t like that either.

I haven’t the heart to tell her.
