I got the impression that they had just filmed a one-time live-action version of the opening sequence (Everybody coming home, various things ensue, they all end up on the couch). Just an interesting version of the titles, not a whole show.
that got me thinking that the new series they were speaking of was a live action show. Although it does not actually say that anywhere in the article. shrug
Okay… so what is this “New Series”? Or did they simply mean the new season?
I couldn’t get it to play, but in the picture, Lisa looks a lot older than Bart. I thought Bart was older. I know it’s a nitpick, but it bothers me for some reason.
I think what HowieReynolds and others are saying is that this is simply to promote the new season of the show (i.e. the regular animated version), and they just filmed this live-action thing as a one-time shot, like a commercial.
Although, it does sort of beg the question: why is it only British? Are they going to film one here in the states too?
Thanks, Fluiddruid - that’s good stuff! Other than the glowing radioactive bar not sticking on Homer’s back as he left work, it was pretty well done, and true to the original. I hope they’ll use it in the American broadcast sometime.
