I put off buying it but got a copy of the full version which messed up everything when I used it as an 'update' for W98.
So reformatted [yep, used up all the possible uninstals, you only get ONE chance to uninstal!] & put the full version on and it went real pretty if you don't mind only having 16 clrs because they don't have a S3 video driver yet....

So, got the Staples Store [or staples.com] ad today. Went & bought the ME Update Promo [$49.00] which comes with 5 free software titles [ I hope they work with ME, most have the ME logo] Nice stuff. Also you get a free [after rebate] USB video camera, A logitech Internet Keyboard, mouse, Zip Magic, Canon Video Maker, Personal Firewall, My Internet Postage [$30 free postage] PhotoSuite III, Microsoft Road Atlas, Speakers, Joypad, MP3 maker software, headphones with microphone. Most items are seperate. If you got it all, which I didnt, the free stuff comes in around $550.00.

Now I have Windows ME sealed in a box I don't need. :-)
What other deals did they have on ME around the country?

Have fun with ME -- I've been playing with it for about 2 weeks now. For the most part its better than Win98 -- more stable, looks better. Just have to wait for all the hardware manufactures to make drivers that are set up for ME to get the most performance out of the system

I bought the 98 upgrade to ME and it installed without incident. I haven't seen any features I need, but I'm always surprised that people with 5-year old Windows 95 find some things they buy don't work as they should on it.
The name 98 says it's 2 years old, or one chip generation.
