Not too shabby.

There was a great FARK Photoshop thread I'm struggling to find... It started with a picture of the Enterprise with Earth in the background. Then someone added the Millennium Falcon, then Serenity, and it just snowballed from there to insanity.

Bull! The first Star Destroyer was killed by the Agamemmnon, and it took both the Reliant and the Enterprise E(?) to kill the one at Earth. I will note that, while the Vipers seemed to be effective against TIE Fighters, the Galactica itself was kinda outgunned.

My wife is right.....I am a geek.

Or the Minbari, for that matter. And where was the White Star, anyway?

Dear Og, that was horrible.

I mean, sure, it was neat seeing all those ships in one big free-for-all... but the animations and effects were terrible. I particularly cringed when the walker got shot in the neck by the Fed ship- it actually reacted before it was hit, and there was no sense of impact. The explosions were all billboards- sure, it's cheap, but it means they get those sharp lines where they intersect geometry.

Still, kinda neat to see 'em all fighting like that.

...horrible? Considering that it was a simple fan project, done in spare time over five years ago I would say that it was pretty damm good. "Galactica" was animated by the great Johann over at www.spacebattles.com back in 1999, and was one of the last movies he put out before going into "retirement." There are a number of fan movies over at that site, a number of them "more horrible" than "Galactica", but they are well worth a look.
