This is the thread for the group of Seattle-area dopers that get together most weeks for pub trivia competitions. Most weeks, we go the The Old Pequliar, where Interrobang!? is one of the quizmasters and the quiz is on Tuesday. Sometimes, we go to Monday quiz at Kate’s Pub or The Irish Emmigrant. We occasionally go someplace else entirely. All of the local quiz venues are described on www.quiznight.net.

I want to be more available, and cripes, sometimes I sit at work and wonder what must be going on Trivia tonight. Unfortunately, my work has eaten up much of my time, and I’m often too tired to do much other than sleep in the time I do manage to get off. The only time I’ve had much chance to speak to my own mother was when they came out to visit, I got a little time off (VERY little, despite asking for the time off months prior), and I was often dragging her and the rest of my family to work with me, so I’d get a chance to see them. I love my job and I hate it, too.
New Year’s resolutions, imposed by Mr. Stasaeon, is that I’ve got to cut back and take some more time for myself, and stop letting them push me around so often. Sound in theory, let’s see if I can make it work.

Sorry, I’ve been out of the loop for a while, no good excuse. I’ve discovered another Monday night trivia joint. The Lock Spot. At (duh) the Ballard Locks. I know nothing about the quizzes, I just noticed a sign about it while we were haing breakfast last week.
How was the game this week?
Hopefully, this’ll mark the return to a semi-regular attendance schedule as well, now that all the stoopid house/in-laws/parents/asfhao;guh is taken care of.
