Wow cool game. I have only a much lamer set of fun words:

Artist #4

calliope
reservoir
Burt Reynolds

Awesome game. Way above me. Except…

Artist #2 is:

The Beatles

I feel kind of dumb for having to look up the 1-2 and 4 words in their lyrics. VERY good work on your part!

#2 is The Beatles–#1 is Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite , #2 is Lady Madonna , #3 is Bungalow Bill , and can’t think of #4.

OK, here’s one:

blueprint
oleander
kerosene
zombie

#3:Roger Waters? I don’t know “Gingerbread”, but “Glitterati” is from The Fletcher Memorial Home (… anonymous Latin-American meat-packing glitterati…) and “Incontrovertible” is from The Trial (…the evidence before the court is incontrovertible, there’s no need for the jury to retire…)
Is that right?

Great game. Number one is …Queen. The Fairy Feller has tatterdemalion in it, which I learned when I was young hearing it for the first time.

Thanks Gigi and ZipperJJ.

Just a question for Gigi and want2know are your artists staying with the R&R HOF theme? If not maybe a little clue as to what genre we should think in.

Sorry, my list is #5 :smack:

I don’t think mine is in the HOF; I’m just going with “rock lyrics” in general as per the title of the OP.

I figure if I solve one, I should’ve put one on the table.

Artist 5:
Pentecost
Dappled
Moonbows
Scatterlings

You are mostly right,I am sure you know what band your answer was in,tho he did not write the song with gingerbread in it.

Let’s make that artist 6 (insert head-slapping emoticon)

#3
MrSquishy got the other ones, but “gingerbread” is from Bike…
“I’ve got a clan of gingerbread men
Here a man
There a man
Lots of gingerbread men
Take a couple if you wish
They’re on the dish”
Pink Floyd, of course…

Paul Simon, pentecost is from Duncan and scatterlings is from You Can Call Me Al . He says moon rose in* America*,cant think of a moonbows off hand.

and dappled is on the tip of my tongue…just can’t place it…sure I will abe able to after posting this tho.

I’ve got no deeds to do, on promises to keep, I’m dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep let the morning time drop all its petals on me. Live I love you, all is grooooovy.

gigi’s Artist #4 is Bruce Springsteen.

Let me throw a few out (I’ll use my own numbering system):

NDP’s Artist #1:

–Transit

–Bushwacked

–Lester Bangs

–Asp
NDP’s Artist #2:

–Bleachers

–Capitol

–Aladdin

–Pigeons

NDP’s Artist #1 is…

R.E.M. “Transit” is from Radio Free Europe, “Bushwacked” is from Drive, “Lester Bangs” is mentioned in It’s the End of the World (As We Know It), and “Asp” is from Man on the Moon.

I knew that was too easy. It’s late and I’m probably too tired to come up with anything mentally challenging.

Steely Dan. Oleander is the giveaway, that’s from “My Old School.” Kerosene is from “Kid Charlemagne.” Zombie is from “Haitian Divorce,” although I first thought of “All You Zombies.” Can’t think offhand of where Blueprint is from.

Here are a couple from me:

BtES #1
logistics
systemically
maisonettes
crosslegged

BtES #2
keyloids
sterilized
broadcasting
hot-wire
