I want to be perfectly clear here that I’m not using “dyke” as a slur, but rather as the preferred nomenclature of that particularly butch and masculine subset of lesbians.
I’ve noticed lately that there’s a particular subset of dykes that go out of their way to look like preteen boys - they get preteen boy haircuts, wear fitted polo shirts and baggy jeans, nike sneakers, and they speak in a lower register that sounds not unlike what the average preteen boy’s half-changed voice sounds like. They often accent the look with backwards baseball caps, wallet chains, an earring in one ear, and so on. The vast majority of these that I’ve seen have been petite to begin with, adding to the “illusion.” Based on conversations with a lesbian friend, the vast majority of them are into “packing,” or stuffing their (boys’) underwear with artificial flaccid penises to further the illusion of manhood.
With the complete “preteen boy” illusion in place, are women that sleep with this type of dyke actually expressing some sort of pedophilic urge? The dykes in question go out of their way to provide a 98% convincing illusion of being a 12 or 13-year old boy.
Uh, wow. I don’t think the image is meant to emulate a pre-teen male. I think as a projection of their masculine side, the dress is nothing out of the ordinary.
I know you gave a disclaimer for the word ‘Dyke’ but no matter what way you use it, I believe it is still construed as derrogatory.

There are also straight guys who have a fetish for girls who dress like private or Catholic schoolgirls (the pigtails/cardigan/skirts/etc.). I think mainly it’s a fantasy based fetish (though I’ve no way of knowing that).
I am not a psychologist or an expert on aberrant sexual behavior, but my understanding (and hope to be corrected if I’m wrong) is that there’s generally not a lot of crossover between the sexual orientations of pedophiles regarding life-partners/other adults and their sexual attraction to children. It’s not the way the kid dresses that attracts them but their age/innocence/size, etc…
Now a woman who likes an extremely effeminate man with very little body hair and the like or a man who likes particularly masculine women may be more likely to be closeted and gay than others. Even then though I think it would be more what they fantasized about or even their particular sexual practices that would give more insight into the closeted natures. (It’s a common “old queen’s tale” in the gay community that lots of closeted men date women (Asian or otherwise) with the classic Thai dancer style body: really small boobs, hairless body, preferably short haired, etc.- because it’s the closest they can get to a socially acceptable substitute for an teenaged boy; personally I think this is Total BS as= well,

(*While I personally am not offended [though I’m also not a lesbian], I don’t recommend using dyke or fag in mixed company; it’s one thing to call yourself a fag or dyke but another thing for some one else to, not unlike "Richard Pryor can call his album “That Nigger’s Crazy” but it wouldn’t be a good idea for Larry the Cable Guy to name one that…just so’s you’ll know.)
Well, it’s a specifically pre-teen look they’re going for, not “teenage boy” or “college-age guy,” but specifically “bugle boy jeans and spongebob shirt-wearing 11-to-13-year-old middle-schooler.”
Since a lesbian, by definition, isn’t into males then I don’t think you can get pedophile out of that. If they were running around emulating pre-teen girls then you might have something, but even then I would doubt it.
You’d think so; but just how butch can a lesbian be before other lesbians stop being attracted to her? How flat chested, broad-shouldered, narrow-hipped, muscular, and hairy can a lesbian be before she’s essentially a man with a vulva? (And I’m sure THAT’S been done somewhere on the Internet…)
Just so’s you know, that particular subset of lesbians use “dyke” in the same way a subset of African Americans use the word “nigger.” It’s definetly a slur, and its use by people outside of the group it’s being applied to is… not appreciated, to put it lightly.
As for your actual theory, I don’t think it holds water. The vast majority of pedophiles are heterosexual males. The number of women who fit the description you’ve given would indicate a far larger pool of lesbian pedophiles in the general population than has previously been reported. If they were attempting to appeal to female pedophiles, why would the overwhelming majority of them choose to dress like underage boys? Shouldn’t there also be a significant number of lesbians trying to present themselves as underage girls, as well? And, of course, once you get their clothes off, the illusion is pretty much destroyed. The differences between the body of an adult woman and a pre-pubescent boy are pretty hard to miss, for the most part.
What you’re talking about here are simply butch lesbians, and a particular subset of butch lesbians who have slender builds and feminine features. The women who dress like that aren’t trying to dress like young boys, they’re trying to dress like other butch lesbians. There is a wide streak of youth worship in our culture, and it’s not at all unusual for people of any gender or sexuality adopt youth-related icons as a way of presenting themselves as younger, and therefore more desireable, but there’s no conscious attempt to deliberatly court the attentions of pedophiles.
Sounds to me they’re not pedophiles. They don’t want want little boys. Or even woman who look like little boys. They want woman with some interesting frission between grown woman/young man (but not child…hell, why would they would want them to have a “package” if the wanted a child?)… Human sexuality is a vast and complex thing. No children were harmed in the course of this fantasy
Here’s a little hypothetical visualization for you…
Take a random sample of adult women age 20 to 30 who are small in stature and thin in frame. Give them a short haircut and dress them in “men’s” clothes. I’ll go out on a limb and say that a statistically significant amount of your sample will visually resemble and sound like what society is programmed to interpret as boys or young men. Given a few decades and a paradigm shift, or perhaps a parallel universe, someone could just as easily post on a forum wondering whether or not teenage boys dress like they do because they have a thing for butch lesbians. I mean…seriously.
I am not small in stature or in frame, have entirely too much chest for one person to ever have to deal with, but I have short hair and I wear “men’s” clothes. (I use quotes because they aren’t men’s clothes in any way other than the what is printed on the label by the clothing industry, and what section of the store they’re placed in by the clothing industry. They’re clothes. Period.) And even though I’m buxom, because I subscribe to gender-bending, androgenous choices of wardrobe, style, and personal grooming (short messy hair, no makeup, no shaving) I’m called “sir” alllll the time.

Those women aren’t trying to look like boys, they are trying to look like men, but just don’t have the secondary sexual characteristics to look like an adult male. I theorize that the teenage boys are also trying to look like men, but don’t have the secondary sexual characteristics to pull that off either.
Pedophiles are, by definition, sexually attracted to children, not necessarily children of the sex of adults that they are attracted to. That said, I don’t think that lesbians attracted to these types of women are secret pedophiles anymore than straight women attracted to effeminate men are secret lesbians.
You really need to look up the definition of “fantasy.” If the dictionary does not clue you in, try looking it up in a dictionary of terms of psychology.
I think you’re wrong. Has one of these lesbians told you that was the look she was going for, or are you just assuming by what you see? I lived with a lesbian that dressed in polo shirts and pants and kept her hair cut very short. She dressed that way to appear as masculine as she could be, but being about 5 foot 4, she looked more like a boy than a man.
