Ok I made my point...Johnny the Homicidal Manic is the best comic ever. It's edgy, well drawn, and makes you think. But I only know a handful of people who've ever read it...anyone else read it? If so, I have some questions about his blood stained wall...

I agree. It's one of my favourite comics! I'm thinking of calling my little nephew "Squee".

I agree. In fact, I make everybody read the blind date/circus peanuts strip.

What is Vasquez up to nowadays?

I've never read JTHM, but I did borrow a Squee book from my friend. It's a wonderfully psychotic comic.

I am full of praise for JCV and his work. I think the next thing was a new JTHM series, but i still dont have the second 'sick little girl'.

I even liked the Bad art collection, to some extent. I know its wrong, but i like to see little squiggles getting horribly tortured by a cruel and uncaring fate. Or JCV's sadistic imagination. Whatever.

I love those aliens. and squee. Im full of love for the whole dastardly creation. But the bit with the Kid who just wont let his mum go to work made me hurt myself with the joy. Ok, enuff praise. Nny would kill me anyway.

God, now i want Icee sucky....

"Damn your mighty word probe! I give you SATANIC HEAD BITEY"
I could go on for days. But i will stop, and let others express their joy at this fine creation.

SQUEE!

Who's the kid in the back?
He's your son.
One of my favs is the bloody public restroom. Pure genius. Also the kid who won't let his mom go to work. Especially when she skids him along the wall. God, that shit is funny.

The chicken sex episode with the aliens aint bad either.

We have procured an earth female.
THAT"S A CHICKEN!
Don't lie to us.

Ok, so is any of this stuff on line or do I have to risk the wrath of the local comic store/porn merchant to go find this stuff?

I like Squee better than JTHM, personally. Squee friggin' slays me--I giggle maniacally at every page. Johnny sometimes goes over the line between twisted and funny er, just a bit too disturbing to laugh at. I guess that makes me a wuss.

I have a Happy Noodle Boy quote generator on my Visor. It pleases me. Random quote for the enjoyment of all:

"I am wiggling my leg!! Witness my leg!! Do you not see?! Huh?!"

I have been known to ask people spontaneously, "Do you deny me Freshmaker???"

Here are a bunch of squee images. Enjoy Olentzero. Especially love the Don't Eat Me one.

Yeah! I've read pretty much everything but I still don't own a copy of the Bad Art Collection. This may be a good thing, actually...
My desk has a piece of Dymo-Tape stuck to it that says "Go forth and become a HAPPY CABBAGE!". Its a reminder of what happens when you let your younger brothers read your comics while playing with those little label maker thingies.

Dammit, Lenore is one of my favs and there certainly hasn't been enough discussion here of her!

I mean, who can forget wonderful bits like with the hamsters in the pet store?

Mmmm, yes.

Every strip that he draws making fun of goth people is, for the most part, disturbingly accurate...

HEad explodey- Ability to make others heads explode in a shower of gore by thinking hard enough about it. Only works in heaven. Beware of nuns.

I thought lenore was kind of disappointing. Not a lot happens in it. THe cheeps was funny though- i think that was in a johnny comic.

flying bunnie angels.... hehe...
