The clock on my computer is automatically synched to Apple. The clock on my DVR/Cable box agrees with it. But I’ve noticed that the times on posts on SDMB seem to be two minutes fast.
Time has no meaning to the SDMB, it’s all relative to something or another.
Usually the complaint is that the clock is slow, so this is refreshing.
It’ll get corrected at some point but I can’t tell you when.
Does anybody really know what time it is?
Does anybody really care?
I’ve stopped the clock on my computer, so it’s right twice a day. On the day that we convert from daylight time, it’s right three times that day.
You forget that Chicago time has no meaning in the real world.
The clock resets itself to standard time after 24 hours of continuous service. It has been a while.
Here’s a test. It’s 1:18 here, eastern time which ought to be an hour ahead of Chicago time. Lately, Straight Dope time has been roughly 2 hours off mine.
