The clock on the SDMB server is not calibrated to the atomic clock or the water clock or the sundial, even.
It sometimes gets reset when a tech is in the vicinity; otherwise it does tend to drift over time, sometimes quite a few minutes from what you deem to be the correct and only time.
For those of you who are time sensitive – and you know who you are – our apologies.
