What's the best way to open a bottle of Maker's Mark?

The wax seal can be a real hassle. Is there some simple, approved way of breaking the seal and getting right to the bourbon?

Dude no offense but its only Maker's Mark - just open it. In other words - whatever it takes.

You bring it to my place, and I'll do it for you.

If you check, there is a little tab sticking out from the wax. Grab that with fingers or pliers and pull around the neck counter-clockwise. This peels a strip of the wax away and allows you to unscrew the lid.

So, you don't know either. Well, at least I'm not the only one.

Thanks, we were looking for something like that, but couldn't find it. Next time, I'll swing by your place first!
