An electric car with the plate,
Wait for it…
WATT GAS
Beat that! Double meaning and all that.
I actually saw this on a car recently, a couple of days after the FELCH MI incident.

Still can’t beat a VW Beetle with the license plate “Feature” or the Chevy Impala with the plate “Vlad”, but not bad.
I saw a really odd and small car last summer (wasnt a smart car, not sure what it was)
the plate read AAAA
as in it runs on AAAA batteries, which are pretty small batteries.
I saw “Isotope” on a Honda element recently.
Excellent
I get Vlad the Impala, but what is the first one? (he asks, poised and ready to go :smack:)
A VW Beetle is (or was) commonly known as a Bug.
Not quite as clever as “VLAD”, but I almost rented an apartment from a guy who had a big, shiny yellow pickup truck with lots of after-market work done on it. His plate? “8MYCASH”.
Which leads to the computer program joke “It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.” I love multi-layered humor.
Ah - enlightenment just occurred. Thank you. Cool - we’re even on the slide guitar stuff I shared with you?
Never actually saw it, but in the D.C. area, there is supposedly a urologist with a plate that says “PPDR”
My other favorite was a guy with a Firebird with a license plate that read ALS Z28, leading to the inevitable conversation (which he undoubtedly enjoyed):
Person: That’s not a Z28!
Owner: I’m not Al.
this morning I saw a Hybrid with “W8N 4H2”
But my all time favorite was “L8NONMT.”
ETA: Almost forgot: “CRMMY VP” Seen soon after the Quayle annoucement.
I once saw one of the new Beetles with the vanity plate “THUGBUG.” I egged it.
Not getting it. Help?
I think it’s “Late (L8) and (N) on (ON) empty (MT)”. If it’s a reference to anything, it’s over my head.
I’ll take a guess:
Late and on empty?
If so, eh, kinda clunky.
The most clever license plate I’ve ever seen?
D0D0D0D
Imagine that in blocky “license plate” font. I bet that guy was a speeder.
