Warehouse 13 - 07/21/2009

So anybody still watching?

Before my comments, a rant, if I may be indulged…

SyFuck. If you’ve invested money in a show and you want people to watch it in this day and age, don’t start the fucking thing 5 minutes late, you idiots!

Okay, now that that’s over with, on to the show.

It’s slowly showing some promise to me. The chemistry between Pete and Myka was definitely better this episode. You still have to blow off any hope of actual science, but that was a given. My biggest concern is that they’ll resolve the hacker issue too quickly and leave us without any on-going story arc. Unless they try to create sexual tension between Pete and Myka which would suck.

I think it’ll be mindless entertainment, but hell, it’s the summer and there ain’t much on.

I had to go to work midway through the episode (watching on Hulu, so pausing is no issue). But yeah I keep fearing that they’re going to try and set up Pete and Myka. It seems almost like we should arrange a petition to keep them as nothing more than friends.

This episode seemed a bit more cartoony than the previous episodes with things like manufactured spats, Myka going all Jacky Chan, and breast-vision. Not too terribly, but again it’s worrying.

The show keeps seeming like at any moment it’s going to tilt over into something completely banal and stupid. I’d like to think that they’ve evaded it so far, but it is only the third episode…

I’m starting to not like the guy cop, reminds me of that dude Tony from NCIS too much. Also, that innkeeper seems to hang around too much for an innkeeper, even if she is sort of prescient or whatever. Also, the gal cop being superhumanly strong and able to beatup any dude she come across is tired. She’s thin as a rake.

Something tells me that the hacker will end up being recruited by Mrs. Frederic so Artie can keep an eye on her and have an extra pair of eyes watching for anomalies.

I missed the ending because of this. You would think that they have heard of TIVO and VCR’s and the like by now.

Well, it’s on the SyFy website. That’s how I caught the end last week. This week I got smart and added some time on the end of the recording. It’s just annoying.
