I know that most of you probably opened your presents this morning. So what did you people long to see under that tree that you didn't receive?

For me:
*blank cds (my brother got them, not me...*growl*)
*any cds...my mother got me one but it was one that I already got from someone else.
*an air rifle (kidding! kidding! I'd put my eye out!)

I'll think of more later.

A Red Rider BB gun with a compass in the stalk and this thing that tells time...

Whoops, that 24-hour marathon of "A Christmas Story" must have gotten to me.

A new computer, a record player, etc.

Stuff that I already own but, like a true Jewish/Anglo-American, I want another one.

Big mountains of baseball cards.

For my baby to not be so far away from me.

Actually I would have been happiest not getting anything. I don't like presents.

There apparently was a lamp like the one my brother bought his girlfriend, but in red. Now, I am both a lamp and a red person, and absolutely loved the lamp he bought for her, so I nearly peeed when I was told this.

If I only got one gift, it's what I wanted, and because of my enthusiasm I was sure I would get it.

But oh, my mom told me a few days ago that my brother was hurt that I wanted the lamp. That it was 'just for her' (her being his lady friend of course.) So I knew then that it was out of the question, and that I wouldn't even be able to spend the $80 and buy it myself. Well I could, but there is no way I was going to if it would hurt my brother

And believe it or not, this made me cry.. which is highly unusual since normally I couldn't care less about such things... But hey, I really love that lamp.

You'll put your eye out!

I watched about six hours of A Christmas Story.

I wanted the new Erykah Badu CD, "Mama's Gun." When friends asked what I wanted, I told them that, and then they would say, "Nahhhh...What else do you want?"

I did get a gift certificate to Besy Buy, so I'm buying it ASAP.

I really wanted these beautiful amber earrings from Fire & Ice too, I got two other pairs but not the one I specifically told my friend that I wanted super, super badly.

Last but not least, I wanted to tape the Nelson Mandela Oprah special, and I did, but it wasn't as good as I thought. Oprah would not shut up!

Hope you all got most of what you wanted!

Don't my parents know by now that an all clothes christmas is dumb? Yes, I am a grownup, but I would like fun stuff, too! Or maybe a nice watch like the one you just gave to my sister!! Grrrrr.

I didn't get nuthin' for Christmas. At least a lump of coal can be fun.

I would have loved a CD player for my car, music gift certificates, or something for my new apartment (like the set of pots and pans the brothers got?). Yes, sibling rivalry runs rampant in my house - I guess with 4 kids I should be glad they remembered me at all!

I wanted this, but they are pretty hard to find (only 200 made, and people who got them tend to not want to sell), but I did get this and I really like it!

I wanted my sister to bring her roommate when she came, but no such luck. She's lots of fun and I was hoping to ask her out in person. Guess I'm stuck with the dreaded phone call:"Remember me? Your roommate's brother? We did too meet! At that wedding, remember?" sigh

I wanted a new phone line. Didn't get it. I also wanted the Cambridge 5 piece computer surround sound system, but it was too expensive. I wanted a new monitor (Since my good one broke), but there wasn't enough time to find a good one.

I wanted a car, but no such luck. I wanted money, but I only got a Fry's gift certificate (Still good though!).

There was a lot of stuff, but I still got good stuff.

Heh.

I actualy have one of those.

There were two things I really wanted.

A CD (Trouble at the henhouse - The Tragically Hip) and a Spintastics tigershark Yo-Yo (even replacement strings would've been good).

I really wanted that Yo-Yo.

Dang.

I wanted the full set of the angel/choir pooh bear beanie babies, I'm really happy that I have Eeyore, Pooh, and Piglet but I NEED Tigger. That $100 Eeyore would be nice too though I don't expect I'll ever get it.

My relationship with my ex to be back to how it was before this summer when we were going out and we were happy. For the child to learn that a relationship does involve work and that no problem ever goes away by itself. Just for one guy to love me for who I am and to be there for me when I need him most and hold me and make me feel like everything is alright with the world and for me to love him back in the same way. Okay before I start crying I'll stop.

Kitty

I wanted a cheap winter coat. Instead I got a reall6y nice black leather coat. I know I shouldn't complain. I just wanted something simple to wear on days when it was a little chilly. Now I have this nice coat and feel like I need to dress up a little to wear it.

I was hoping for a new Video Card.
I needed new Speakers for the home stero.
I've gotta get my hands on a new bookcase soon....

But I did get Gran Tourism 2, and got to see my daughter on her brand new bike.... so it's not a total wash.

[funny hijack]
We were really hoping for a DVD player.
We got a brand-new VCR... go fig!

I came out pretty good, actually. I guess that's because I was transparent about what I wanted. Just anthing for camping. My tent and gear got flooded out this summer, and they closed the road in when I had to leave for home.
I lost it all and wailed for weeks.

Sorry d00d. That bites.

This is probably the worst xmas I've ever had. So much emotional stress goes into this holiday ya know? When i'm rich enough i'm just gonna go on vacation and get the hell out of her as soon as xmas starts. Not only do i hate this deadline for sending people gifts and cards and company and all that, i've been having some family problems and relationship problems. Its just hell I tell you!

OH yeah, and what I wish I got for xmas but did not. I wish I got a vacation to get out of here!!

I wanted a virgin 60 degree 3100 engine block, but didn't get it.

I wanted a waist length leather or courdoroy coat, but didn't get it.

I wanted a wrench and socket set, which I did get. It's a 71 piece socket set with a 18 piece wrench set. It's not a full toolbox by any means, but it's a damned good start. And it's Craftsman, too. Quality!

I ruined some of my pants sledding, and I got a new pair.

I needed shirts, and I got 5.

My brother got me Tony Hawk 2! YES!

I think I did well.

I still want a clean 1988-94 J-body convertible chassis to use as a base... but most that are in good shape run, and most that don't run aren't in good shape. Shucks.

Somebody gave you an ECLIPSE for Christmas? Yikes almighty. That's some friends in high places you got there...

I wanted Baldur's Gate II. I got Dark Forces II. Oh, well. There's hope for Father's Day.

UPDATE:
My grandmother is going halfsies with me on an electric guitar as soon as I find the one I want.

The only thing left to long for is Metallica's Garage Inc, which I asked my Met-fanatic BIL for -- but my birthday's coming up soon, so there's still hope.
