So what does everyone want for Christmas?

Me, I’m hoping against hope for an X-Box 360, even though my girlfriend gets “that look” when I bring it up.

Other than that I’m hoping for a new fishing rod and reel combo, and I’d also be pretty pleased with a year long subscription to Napster.

What do you hope to find under the tree this year?

Harsher punishments for parole violators. And world peace.

Love. Or my own helicopter. Which is to say, what I want can’t be bought. That which can be bought is too expensive.

A record player and a bike. That’s it.

A pony!!!111

Gift certificates for bookstores. Or, books with the receipt. Or, books. In that order.

A puppy.

::wistful sigh::

Or a non-puppy dog.

A canine, of any kind.

A paid for trip to Philadelphia to visit my best friend and her husband.

Hmm. That’s odd. The only other thing I can think of is having a Trader Joe’s here in Toronto. Anyone want to give me that? I’ll singlehandedly support it!

I predict this will turn into another In Praise Of Trader Joe’s Thread.

Yeah, I’d love a Trader Joe’s in Bellingham. I mayn’t singlehandedly support it, but I’d be shopping there very regularly!

World peace, all the wealth in the world, and good grades for exam…

Failing all, I just want someone to hang out with on Christmas.

There’s this love seat recliner at LaZBoy that I really want, but no one loves me enough to spend $1200, so that ain’t gonna happen.

I want to be able to spend the holidays with my daughter, but since FCD doesn’t have vacation time left, we’ll be in Maryland and the kid will be in Florida with her grandparents. :frowning:

Honestly, there’s nothing I want, personally. Christmas lost its magic for me long ago. I just want it to be done.

To spend the holidays with happy cheerful people, that don’t sit around complaining about their various health issues and eachother.

Also

A new toaster.

My parents to continue paying as much of my tuition as they do. (They probably will.)

I want a nice leather tote bag to carry my notes in, so I can stop dragging a backpack around everywhere. Time for me to act my age! Unfortunately, all the ones I really love are pretty expensive, so that’s probably not going to happen.

I want to have my boyfriend for Christmas, but I’ll have to wait till the 26th when I fly down to visit him.

Yes.

I need a driver’s license, a new computer, a new TV, and new running shoes. Either one of those would be a killer.

A blonde dye-job. I’m getting it for myself.

I cut my hair kind of short earlier this summer, and I just went Thursday to the salon and got it hacked off *really * short. I have an appointment to get the dye job done Wednesday November 30. *I shall not falter! * I’ve had very long hair for like 12 years, and now I suddenly wanna have short, blonde hair!

I’m most likely temporarily insane and when lucid again will probably regret this, but what the hell. It’ll always grow back.

The latest Sue Grafton.

My christmas list is basically a dozen cookbooks, a couple DVDs, and cacoa nibs. Also thinking of Tivo as my big gift. We’ll see.

Susan

My unrequited love, or furniture for my apartment. I’ll be happy with either one.
