Tickets for the Treasure Island Music Festival went on sale today. The festival is spread over the weekend of 16 - 17 October 2010 and features a compelling lineup:

I admit to not knowing much about a lot of these bands but I’m a big fan of The National, and like the work of LCD Soundsystem, Belle & Sebastian, Broken Social Scene and She & Him. I think there is a lot to like from the other bands based on the samples I have been listening to.
Tickets are currently on sale for the two days ($119.50 plus Ticketmaster bait and switch fees), but I will likely only do the Sunday ($67.50 plus Ticketmaster). I’m sorry to be missing some of the Saturday acts, but Sunday looks to be more my style, and both days is probably a little much for me.
So anyone else planning on going? If you’ve been to this event in the past, how was the experience?
