Maegling is born!

After some wailing and gnashing of teeth, I have a son. He was six days late, but since I never seem to be able to meet deadlines, I suppose I cannot blame him.

At least he is good looking.

His name is Byron.

Congratulations! (both on the birth and surviving being six days overdue…)

He’s a very handsome young man!

Awww. . . Happy Birthday Byron. You are a cutie!

Congratulations!

He’s a good looking baby (and trust me, there are quite a few that aren’t). And I approve of your choice of name…how did you come to pick it?

My wife deserves most of the credit for this one, but I admit, I was starting to get a little batty as the days drew on.

Aww, a baby!

Well done!

Oh, squee-ness ensues!

Toooooooo freakin’ beautiful for words!

When can I drop by to nibble his toes?

Congratulations to all of you!

My grandfather, whom I admired greatly, died in May. His name was Burton, and we wanted to honor him by choosing a name for our son that began with the letter B. He was a pretty well-known patron of poets and loved the Romantics best of all. His favorite poet was actually Blake, but we just preferred the name Byron.

Our son’s middle name is Shigeru, after my wife’s also beloved grandmother Sonoe who died in March.

It’s been a rough year, so a new baby is especially welcome news for both of our families.

Congratulations¡

Mazel tov, sir! Nicely played.

Congratulations :)!

Excellent - the resemblance is uncanny ;).

That one orgasm will cost you, easily, a half-million dollars.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! He’s a beautiful baby, Byron is.
Each day past due date feels like a month, doesn’t it?

Eeeeeeeeeeee! So awesome.

My, how far we have come, my friend.

Congratulations, wishing you a lifetime of love and joy with your new family.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! He’s adorable!

Congratulations!! He’s really lovely.

A wonderful choice of name and a wonderfully cute baby! Congrats!

Congratulations, and looking forward to his first words, his first steps, his first potty… trust me, you’ll like that one best.
