So…is she dyslexic, going senile, or just kinda…misinformed? :p:p:p
More like misedumacated.
I prefer the news clip here. The look that the newsreader gives to the camera after the story is priceless.
I was going to say that I am tired of people following Palin and then dissecting everything she says. But Jesus Fucking Christ, how god damn stupid do you have to be to not know about Paul Revere? One if by land, two if by sea, and three if by flying monkeys.
That was like one of Sally Brown’s school reports.
I’m in Ireland. I asked my wife, and 20 y/o college student son, who Paul Revere was, and they both pretty much knew the correct story.
Seriously, she talks like a parody of herself. “He was ridin’ through town and ringin’ those bells and warnin’ those people that we were gonna be free.”
WHAT.
If my 3rd-grader wrote that for a report on Paul Revere I’d tell him to revise it into something that sounded like it was written by an actual sentient being, except actually I wouldn’t, because even my 3rd-grader knows better than to say something that tragically and fundamentally stupid. COME ON, LADY.
Hmm, if Tina Fey weren’t obviously pregnant right now I might suspect she was the one giving the interview.
God… she is stupid, but so ****able.
Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere
We clearly misunderestimated her.
He got in his go-cart and stepped on the gas
The bottom fell out and he fell on his… elbow.
Apparently, Revere wrote that he did indeed warn the British that Americans would be massing against them. It wasn’t intended to give assistance to the British, but rather as a threat or a boast after he was detained.
Whatever other problems one might have with her, it sounds like she got this point right.
On Dasher, and Dancer, and Prancer, and Vixen
Through softballs with FoxNews but f that Wolf Blitzen [sic]!*
- Sounded about right.
Why do Santa’s reindeer sound like pole dancers?
On a technicality, sure, but that’s not what the reporter was asking. It’s not like Revere is famous for warning the British. We don’t say that Thomas Jefferson warned King George, either. Besides, wasn’t she at a stop that was part of the ‘famous ride’?
This is a woman who can see Russia from her backyard and isn’t sure what a VP could do and fumbled on Bush’s “world view”.
What’s the technicality?
“I’m warning you blokes; we’re gonna fight back. With guns. Rawr.”
What on earth could you talk about later?
That she could even be thought of as a future President by anyone beggars belief.
While being questioned when he was captured during the ride.
She also said he rang the bells and road around town. It sounds like she thinks he range the bells of the Old North Church (he did not) and that he road around Boston.
Most people don’t know that part.
For those of you who think you know the story of the midnight ride of Paul Revere I highly suggest this book.
It is a THRILLING read.
He road along the rode.
