Funniest 36 seconds on the internet

I had not seen this until last week. I won't describe too much so I don't ruin the punch line, but it's a cat video with music, so be sure to turn the sound on.

Here's the video.

It just gets funnier with repeated viewings.

I'll see your cat video and raise you "Trust Fall Fail" (and it's only 14 seconds).

When I read the title, I thought it must be referring to this video, which someone showed me yesterday: Snooky and the Metronome

Antigen, thanks for the link to that video. I like that song and have often thought of asking here what it was, and who does it.

Very well done syncing of music to video there, I laughed.

This one was posted on Cracked a few weeks ago in a list of obscure YouTube comedy gold videos. It's so simple and dumb, and yet I laughed until my nose ran.

I give you - Cayanne vs Oak Leaf

This is mid round - the full battle lasted close to 20 minutes - in the end, Cayanne was indeed victorious...

Me too. Not the at work part, but tears and not breathing for an alarming amount of time.

Do you just not find it funny, or do you actually not get it? Cats are usually graceful, and the video is set to music that has a dramatic build to a climactic moment. When that moment comes, the cat misses his jump by a mile and falls with splayed, rigid limbs. The humor is supposed to come from the dichotomy between both the music and the agility of cats, and what actually happens.

Love that one, although as has been pointed out by many people on the Interwebs, a lot of those aren't goats. Some of the best ones are sheep. My fave is the goat arguing with the Italian guy and spitting at him.

Not wanting to rain on anyone's cat parade, but the OP's cat jump fail is already a long time meme. With a .gif of it being a popular avatar: http://weknowmemes.com/wp-content/up...-off-ledge.gif

Although, the nicely timed music is a nice touch.

And an update on the old faithful: http://img.gawkerassets.com/post/8/2...00nl_06345.gif

was the timing of the music with the cat peering in and out of the clothesline intentional or coincidence?

anyway, the choice of music was definitely intentional - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWfph3iNC-k guy flying in a squirrel suit.

Yeah, I remember seeing that when it first came out. That has got to be one of the craziest extreme sports type of videos I've seen. Possibly the craziest. I just noticed there is a video of him actually wiping out and sustaining injuries (cut it just a little too close--we're talking inches--with the edge of cliff.)

The video with the music has a link to the original, in which the owner states in the description and in the comments that the cat is fine.

That is one of my absolute pet peeves in offices - people tossing cans in garbage cans when there are ALWAYS recycling bins right nearby. I adored seeing Terry Tate take someone down for that.

Assuming you know about Minecraft, this is a story about a cat. Don't watch the clock, but the 36 seconds is over at the exact moment you think it should be.
