I believe the only drink that comes in glass bottles any more are IBC, Yoohoo, Brownies and the small coke bottles. That's around here anyway..middle of NC.

Well, hmm. You may have to go to Mexico.

PEPSI/GEMEX

UAT Instrumental In Helping To Solve Mexico City Based Pepsi/Gemex's Electropura Expansion Plans

Having built numerous water bottling plants for bottlers around the world, many of the expansion challenges Pepsi/Gemex faced were certainly not new to UAT.

While the U.S. and European market has shifted entirely to polycarbonate bottles, many bottlers, including Pepsi/Gemex, use glass bottles.

. I can't find Pepsi in glass 16 ounce bottles at a reasonable price. Do you remember it? In the glass long-neck bottles with the cap you had to use a bottle opener for? They used to refill the bottles and they came in 8 packs. They still bottle Pepsi that way in Mexico, and it can be had over the internet, but at a cost of close to $2 a bottle.
I wonder if this is what he's referring to, mistakenly.

I think you have to live in Brisbane to have them deliver Pepsi in glass bottles to you. It doesn't look like an Internet ordering website.

Or you could move to Jordan.

And finally, there's this.

Where to buy Pepsi Cola in returnable glass bottles: (updated 6/11/00)

Newport Oregon
Boise Idaho
Rock Island Illinois
Davenport Iowa

Note: Check your local Mexican grocery stores. Many import Pepsi in bottles from Mexico. Concord Street in St. Paul Minnesota is one example.
Well, this has been fun, but I gotta go. This all came up under a Google search for "Pepsi glass bottles", if you wanna look around some more.

Pop is still sold in glass bottles, but you'll have a hard time finding it where you are. It's not much help, but when I was in Thailand, I don't recall ever seeing a plastic bottle; they were all glass. If one was truely hell-bent on getting a hold of some, they could try to contact the manufacturers or talk to the sales people (or whoever does that) for other countries... call pepsi and ask about it... maybe they have a bunch stockpiled somewhere.
ps - it might help to lie and say you're a huge chain store that wants to buy $500,000 dollars worth... they might at least give you some info as opposed to giving you the run-around about how busy they are with their other customers.

The Sip 'N Chat Cafe in downtown Saskatoon has all the major soft drinks in glass bottles.
