I’d try different simple things; a cookie, a bowl of cereal, yogurt. Something will probably satisfy your stomach. Ask it what it wants!

This was my first thought. Try a neti pot in the morning or take a decongestant the night before (assuming they don’t keep you up). I’ve found those solutions work for me as I have had the same issue and it was sinus drainage.
