DeLay said his defense will not be TECHNICAL and LEGALISTIC.
His defense will be CATEGORICAL and ABSOLUTE.
What in the world does this mean?
“I did not have sex with Jack Abrahamoff.”
“I did not have improper relations with that man.”
“I did not take direct cash contributions from him.”
“By that I mean I did not take any money for my own personal use. His campaign contributions have been returned.”
“I did not enjoy the golf trip to St. Andrews.”
"The purpose of that trip was purely recreational. We did not discuss work. "
