Hazle, it wasn’t until I reread “Catcher in the Rye” last year that I realized why yours sounded so familiar.
When watching Deadwood, I was tickled by the argument over Unauthorized Cinnamon.
<mumbles> I still don’t get most of the names including mine - and that’s after reading the threads explaining them.
It may be faint praise coming so late but I thought Ivan Astikov was clever. Unless there’s a deeper meaning I read it as “I’ve a nasty cough” which could imply so many things I just smile at the wit.

I’ve always liked Capt. Ridley’s Shooting Party (the name as well as the poster), but it was only about about a month ago, when I was reading a review of a book about Bletchley Park, that I discovered that it was the name the code breakers gave themselves to disguise their identity.
I only just figured out yours a month ago. And nothing C&H related was going on at all. A light bulb just came on.
No clever punnery with mine, it is just the Irish (Gaelic) for “The Thief”.
I have always liked Ichbin Dubist, looks like the name of an artist.
Having never seen Philadelphia Story I didn’t realise that CK Dexter Haven was a film character until I saw the name on IMDB.
I also randomly came across the fact that Mellivora Capensis is the latin name for a honey badger.
This prompted me to look up Pseudotriton Ruber Ruber, which is a red salamander, and Nyctea scandiaca, which is a snowy owl.
I enjoy names in foreign languages… well, in foreign languages I understand…
Mine is “Serenade 67” … 67 is just my lucky number, nothing mystical about it.
Mine is very obscure. A google search would give the answer in seconds.
