Today at work we were doing such dull stuff my mind began to wander… it eventually came to here and I realized something. Some of the names here are puns on jokes and words. Now one I knew before (Shirley Ujest) but one just hit me this afternoon. Sue Duhnym (pseudanim… or however you spell that)
How did I miss that till now? I feel so dense…
I, for one, never miss any of them.
Peace,
mangeorge
-sticks out her tongue at him-

For the longest time I though mangetout was pronounced Mange tout. Boy did I feel sheepish.

I thought TubaDiva was a silly way to spell Scuba Diver. But then I realized that she is a Diva that plays the Tuba, right? God I hope that’s right…

I think it was last month I finally got Tequila Mockingbird
Yes, I am that dense. And I didn’t get Sue Duhnym till just now.
(Though I did get Shirley Ujest )
Sue has the best screen name on the board. There have been several threads saying exactly the same as the OP on this one:
“punoqllads”.
that one hit me like a rock when i saw his .Sig…

So how are you supposed to say Mangetout?
Punoqllads is “spellbound” upside-down.
I figured out Oicu812 one day, and it’s made me laugh every time I’ve seen it since.
mangetout = man get out (I think)
punquellads…
well, here’s the last two lines of his .sig, the relevant portions.
a.k.a., look at it upside down and backwards…

I wouldn’t have even noticed that if someone hadn’t pointed it out. It took me a few minutes to figure out, too.
I also didn’t get punoqllads or mangetout until I read this thread. I feel so stupid …

Pois is French for peas. Pois mangetout is French for snow peas.
hmmmm…Well damn, my name was going to be PV3HPV3P when I signed up, but I figured it’d be a little harder to pronounce, and I didn’t want to have to explain the upside-down and backwards thing…guess I (once again) underestimated the smartest group on earth[sup]TM[/sup]
I don’t get that one?
I don’t know if this counts, but what about Weird Earls?
Earls=urls. Weird URLS. Heh.
