Dregs of Humanity from It’s your Move
River Bottom Nightmare Band from Emmett Otter’s Jug Band Christmas. Emmett’s band is good too.
I am not proud of these two:
The music from the recent Josie and the Pussycats, specifically the song Spin Around.
I really like the song Lindsey Lohan’s fictional band plays at the end of Freaky Friday
The Dregs of Humanity
On preview, I see I was beaten by Quimby, but I do have a link.

Wow…
While I have to admit I don’t know your 2nd one, the other three you have listed are spot on with my own tastes –

The Folksmen from A Mighty Wind
Stillwater from Almost Famous
We are sex bob-omb and we are here to own this thread!
Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem, the band on The Muppetts Show .
SCTV’s The Queen Haters actually rocked harder than many real punk bands.
I’m surprised I’m the first to mention Aldous Snow and Infant Sorrow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek .
Why won’t you call and come home?
Please call and come home
And I know you won’t come just for the cash
Will you come for my bangers…
My beans and mash?
The Blues Brothers
After all, they can play BOTH kinds of music. Country and Western.
How about Otis Day and the Knights ?
Although they were originally a fictional band, they continue to tour in the real world to this day.
No love for the Wyld Stallyns?
Years ago, I heard Michael Stipe say he never liked the Beatles but regarded the Banana Splits as a major influence.
I thought he was joking, but… you know, this WOULD have made a nice REM song.
