Convince us your favorite comedian is funny, in three YouTube clips or less.

There are a bunch of comedy threads up right now, with people discussing what is/isn’t funny in them. In at least one of these threads several YouTube videos of funny bits from the comedian in question have been posted as an example of why said comic is funny. Someone else mentioned that it was great that we live in the age of YouTube where we can all go and see clips of this comedy

I thought that this would make for a fun thread topic if it was opened up to all comedians. Worst case, none of us agree on what is funny, best case we all have a few laughs. You get three links to prove that your favorite comedian (or the comedian you wish to champion) is actually funny.

I’ll go first and post clips of Eddie Izzard (lazy choice I know, but it’s what I was watching when I had the idea.)

Hitler, No Flaggy No Country and Cake or Death

Monkey with a Gun

Jesus the Pagan

Mitch Hedberg

Challenge accepted.

My favorite comedian is Louis CK, but I haven’t yet met someone who dislikes him.

I’d try to champion Jeff Dunham, but the clips I want for him are buried in the middle of longer videos, and I can’t actually look at Youtube from work.

So instead: Gabriel Iglesias

Drive-Thru Voice

Racist Gift Basket

Road Trip

Izzard is great.

I had to narrow it down by picking a comedian that’s still alive, but Brian Regan is damn funny while working squeaky freggin clean:

Pop Tarts

Stupid in school: there’s no video, but the animation is kind of funny too.

Stewart Lee

Dennis Wolfberg
The Bris
Intelligence Testing
On Letterman

Love the thread’s idea.

One of my current favorites is from my neck of the woods and may not be well know to others, so here’s my introduction to you of

Comedian Nate Bargatze performing at Rascals in New Jersey

More recent clips:

Childhood Toys

Home Protection

I can’t agreed with Stuart Lee’s comedy vehicle.

I absolutely love Lee & Herring, recently made it my mission to re-watch and re-listen to all their TV and radio shows and I have to say they’ve aged very well, just as funny, if not funnier than I remember.

But, I cannot watch Stuart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle though, it just isn’t that funny. Infact I find it cringingly awful as he tries to ‘cleverly’ take the piss out of his sycophantic audience who laughs at whatever shit he serves up.

Anyway, as USians are probably aware of Ricky gervais and Russell Brand here’s one of my favourites who they probably haven’t heard of, Al Murrsay, The Pub Landlord:

I had to clean my monitor after that :stuck_out_tongue:

John Pinnette:

Lines

France & Italy

Yeah, you know I really liked that bit and just felt like throwing it in.

You are most probably right.

Kyle Kinane:

This is not a resounding endorsement of David Cross, but it is one of the funniest bits I have ever heard. I was in pain from laughing at it. Here’s hoping you can at least smile at it.

David Cross: 9-Panel Painting at Sea-Tac

Dara O’Briain

Homeopaths and other quacks
Catholic/Protestant Mixed Marriage
Hotel, part one
Hotel, part two

Just to get him at his funniest and most profane have some fun with Jim Jefferies - Religion (if you have trouble with blasphemy and nasty words, pass by on the other side).

Some examples of weird musical comedian Bill Bailey (UK). I got to see him live last year - he was awesome!

‘Catastrophic Failiure at a U2 Concert’

‘Magic Roundabout’

Pretty typical of his verbal patter.

‘Three Men Walk into a bar’

My favorite German comedian is Loriot, so here are two of his classics. They are subtitled, but anyway both are basically physical comedy:

“Das Bild hängt schief (The painting hangs askew)”

“Die Nudel (The Noodle)”

Tim Minchin

An Aussie musical comedian known for his piano skills and irreverent humor.

Inflatable You

Ten Foot Cock and a Few Hundred Virgins

Prejudice

Heh - I know, and like, Bill Bailey exclusively from *QI *and the occassional Top Gear appearance; I had no idea he was even a musician.

Mmm, not too many of my local SA comics on youtube, and a lot of it is hard to get if you’re not local…
There’s Trevor Noah:
Coloureds and Accents
On growing up in the township as an “albino” (Note: Noah has a Xhosa mother and Swiss father)On public arguments(This one is a bit “white people walk like this…” but accurate)
