Trying to identify a movie

I’m thinking that I once saw a movie where a man was working at a company that made cakes. He somehow got caught on a conveyor belt, and every time he pulled a lever to try and stop the conveyor belt, he got cake icing squirted in his face. Does anyone know what movie this is from, or have I somehow imagined the whole thing?

Sounds like a melange of images from Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times (1936).

Charlie works on a conveyor belt (but his job is tightening nuts on seemingly meaningless steel plates).

At one point, he does get caught on the belt, and dragged into the machinery.

Later, he is made a guinea pig for a experimental new automated Employee-Feeder. Many types of food are squirted into his face.

Actually, this sounds like I’m All Right, Jack, with Terry-Thomas and Peter Sellers. The man in question is Ian Carmichael, IIRC. It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen it, but a very funny movie on unions and labor-management relations.

It sounds like a “Pour Soul” sketch from “The Jackie Gleason Show.”

Make that “Poor Soul.”
