1 minute 49 seconds of pure WTF

I saw some of Cyriak’s work showcased on a TV show called Totally Viral (the show had a significant input from Weebl too - may even have been his creation), but they didn’t focus on the loopy weird stuff like this.

It’s delightfully weird. Like Terry Gilliam on steroids.

I showed this to my cat.

He ran off and hid in the kitchen cabinet.

I know how your cat feels, Smapti.

Those cats with many-jointed-cat-legs are bizarrely horrifying… especially the one with two cat heads for ears (or eyes, or something).

I know it may not be everyone’s taste, but I just watched all of Cyriak’s videos. I’m a sucker for free-form surrealism. I think this stuff is fantastic (and very skillfully done).

Glad I wasn’t on shrooms watchin it…

Concur on every point. Any idea what software he’s using to produce these?

I have absolutely no clue. I wouldn’t even know where to start.

On another note, I do wonder why people say it’s “so disturbing”, etc. It’s very light-hearted in tone to me. Almost peppy, in fact.

I have only three words to say about this:

Fractal Cat Antlers

I wonder if Jon Peters produced that.

Body horror.

On his main page he says, “The software I use is photoshop and after effects for animation and fruity loops for music.”

For years, I’ve been waiting for real life (well, youtube isn’t real life, but you know what I mean … an independently verifiable perception that can be shared with others) to be odder than some of the dreams I have.

That day has arrived.

ETA: Having just watched the BAAA video, I’m really disturbed to contemplate what the result might be if he featured a crab or a lobster.

Everything is made of cat heads, if you look close. The jointed legs are cat heads with other cat heads sprouting out of their mouths.

I don’t normally do horror at all, but for some reason, this disturbs me only in an entertaining way.

Thanks - I probably should have found that, but it eluded me.

Yeah, I think that’s it…but for me, none of the animal ones even approach true Body Horror.

This one, however, is the very definition of the term.

What, don’t like home economics?

I remember from the works of H.P. Lovecraft that Shoggoths were originally created as servants. This must be their training film …
