12 Days of Christmas Gifts

TennHippie’s thread on “Christmas Carol” made me think of a woman I met who wanted to give her boyfriend presents based on the 12 in the song and needed ideas. She didn’t want the real things, naturally, but things she could easily buy or make. I came up with a few ideas, but I’ll only mention my favorite and then ask for your suggestions.

I told her to go to a Senior Center and get snapshots of 6 old people at some activity, like shuffleboard or cards:
6 geezers playing

Your turn!

On the twelfth day of Christmas, although it may seem strange,
On the twelfth day of Christmas, I’m going to exchange…

  1. an automatic vegetable-slicer that works when you see it on television but not when you get it home
  2. pink satin pillow that says “San Diego” with fringe all around it
  3. a pair of teakwood showerclocks
    (something, something)
  4. indoor plastic birdbath
  5. statue of a naked lady with a clock where her stomach ought to be
  6. a simulated alligator wallet
  7. a calendar book with the name of my insurance man
  8. green polka-dot pajamas, and
  9. a Japanese transistor radioooooo!
(It comes with a wire with a thing at one end that you can stick in your ear and thing at the other end that you can’t stick anywhere, because it’s bent.)

courtesy of Mr. Allen Sherman (anyone know the bits I’m missing?)

I am too in shape! :::muttering::: Round is a shape.
C’mon up and see me sometime.
