14 Day for Revenge - a novel

Hi all:

I’ve put my novel up on Amazon. Guy tries to stop the multiverse from collapsing. Looks like it’s going to be psychologicalish horror but turns into standard guy-discovers-his-powers-and-tries-to-prevent-the-apocalypse stuff (and touching on nostalgia and relationships). The writing has been compared to Joyce and Nabokov, but then again they are my relatives (the comparers, that is, not the authors.) For fans of darkness leavened with occasional humor.

Cool. I bought it. I probably will not read it right away; but I will eventually.

So it’s such barely comprehensible gibberish that I’ll have to read every page three or four time before I can understand it?

That may have been his polite way of saying that. I find each sentence comprehensible myself, other than the dozen or so times I make up words.

And it’s available on Kindle Unlimited, so anybody who is subscribed to that can get it free. Cool. Sounds pretty intriguing!

Most of Joyce’s corpus is easy to read. The idea that you don’t know that but somehow know that Finnegan’s Wake is hard to read makes me think that you don’t know what you are talking about.

So, with the doubt about readability removed, I’d just like to say it would be well worth checking 14 Days for Revenge out.

Best of luck Ludovic! I always like to support my fellow Doper novelists.

Why “revenge” is such popular topic in American society?

Revenge is a popular topic everywhere.

Did you just badmouth America?

Bit late to the party, but congrats! I’ll definitely give it a read. How long have you been working on it?

10 years, off and on. Sometimes I would not work on it for a year or more before picking it up again. It’s deliberately set in the late 90s so thankfully I didn’t have to update the tech and cultural references as it progressed.
