15 unintentionally hilarious comic book panels

These things are wonderful. All of them. I’ve seen most of them before from obsessively poring over the huge archives at Superdickery (because Superman’s kind of a dick) but not all of them. Look at these to get a taste for the humor involved and then go to Superdickery for the main course.

No, Superdickery won’t infect your computer. Not anymore. It got vandalized and a piece of malware was put on it once, a long time ago, but that was fixed a long time ago. People’s memories long outlive the actual period of danger.

Batman: Quiet, or Papa spank!

Wow.

That should be the New SDMB Moderator slogan!

There’s also this one , from Lileks.com. He’s got a few more up, too.

I have to admit, #1 had me rolling.

1.) I’ve seen “Quiet…or Papa Spank” in other pop culture items from the 1940s. It ain’t just Batman saying this – I suspect it was a widespread catchphrase (although I have no idea from what), and it’s not just an isolated incident of Batman being patronizing – he’s just trying to be cool.

2.) This collection omits my favorite Wonder Woman panel – one showing off her manu powers, which include “Threading a Needle under Water” and “Running up a Sheet of Glass”. You never find Superman or J’onn J’onzz or Monel bragging about their ability to “thread a needle underwater”. Not even Aquaman or Prince Namor. And get that mind out of the gutter.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been butt stroked.

Then you should be easy prey.

(How is it even possible that a comic artist could draw something like that and not notice?!)

Yeah, “Quiet or Papa Spank” is legendary. And that’s Catwoman he’s spanking there. Yum. But there has been nothing as howl-inducing as #15, Joker’s Boner. To get the full effect, check this out.
And then go to What WERE They Thinking? A search through the archives will keep you in stitches for days.

I’ve seen most of these before, but ‘I command you to…’ wank! and ‘Robin, what have I done?’ will never, ever, EVER get old.

Not the best looking T-sirt, though. http://www.geeklabel.com/show_product.php?product_id=388
