180 copies of A Dance With Dragons shipped early, and I got one!

George R. R. Martin’s next novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Dance with Dragons, is supposed to be released on July 12th. But Aamzon.de in Germany made a mistake and shipped 180 copies early, and today, I got one of those in the mail.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to spoil anything, I just had to share this.

Sorry. Until I have *my own copy *in my hands I will not believe this book actually exists.

Winter is coming for you.

That is all.

[sub]and yes, that’s the best insult I can think up right now. Sue me.[/sub]

I *hate *you.

Well, color me jealous. Did you order from amazon.de? Are you in Germany? How the heck did that happen?

There’s been no change at my favorite source, so I’ll choose to believe you’re lying.

And now there’s spoilers all over the freaking internet. Arg.

Yeah.0
I’ll read my copy after I watch my DVD of Buckaroo Banzai and the World Crime League.

From 180 copies?

I’m German and I live in Germany, so amazon.de was the most obvius choice.

And it’s true, see this link for confirmation by Martin himself:

I am not happy about this. My publishers are furious.
If we find out who is responsible, we will mount his head on a spike.

Uh oh.

So, a spoiler question but only about format: any new characters who are p.o.v./chapter title characters this time? I’m wondering if he’s going to bring back Rickon or Osha and make them p.o.v. characters. And just from flipping through, how Daenerys heavy is it?

I’ve just started Feast of Crows and it seems blessedly short on Daenerys chapters, which drag down the other books even when they have vital happenings because the events are so irrelevant to anything on Westeros. I know eventually she’ll invade and it will come together, but for now it just slows the khalasar.

I believe those have been known for a while, and are on the wiki.

Yeah, but I’m avoiding the wiki, for that’s where spoilers would lurk. I’ve been looking forward to DoD just strictly because “Jamie has a sex change and marries Jalabhar Xo, Brienne gives birth to a winged pony, and a swamp lord called Budro the C’ahajun erects the castle of Zyda Kho where time stands still” aren’t all over the net.

Just wanted to point out that the OP posts at about the same rate as GRRM writes.

But as Neil Gaiman has said, GRRM is not your bitch.

If we want spoilers, does anyone know where we can get them? Please spoiler-box your link so people don’t accidentally lick it.

I’ dont want spoilers, but I’ll like to know if its better than the previous one…

The Wikia of Ice and Fire, or woiaf (google it), will probably have them in force.
